Khumaltar Thrashes Army Club: A Stunning Comeback in ANFA U-16 Youth League

Lalitpur – In an electrifying clash at the ANFA U-16 Youth League, Khumaltar Youth Club (Kathmandu Kickers) delivered a scintillating performance to defeat Tribhuvan Army Football Club 5-1, turning the match into a thrilling spectacle.

Despite an early setback, Khumaltar showcased resilience and determination, with a remarkable comeback.

Tribhuvan Army FC struck first, finding the back of the net in the 15th minute. Their early lead hinted at a tough day for Khumaltar, but the Kickers had other plans. Refusing to be rattled, they regrouped and launched a relentless assault on their opponent’s defense.

Aryan Kaji Thapa and Prince Bogati spearheaded the fightback, each netting two goals and putting on a display of skill and composure. Their clinical finishing left the Army defense scrambling.

Adding to the goal fest, Bhabhishya Shah scored one, after the Army GK went inside the post holding the ball, which was actually crossed by Shah, sealing Khumaltar’s dominance. Shah’s goal was the final nail in the coffin, cementing the team’s emphatic win and highlighting the depth of talent within their squad.

This is Khumaltar’s first win of the league, while Army men are yet to win a game in the ongoing league.
