FC Khumaltar Unveils Jersey For Lalit Memorial U-18 League

Lalitpur (Nepmag) – As the Lalit Memorial U-18 ANFA League prepares to kick off on Sunday, July 14th, 2024, excitement is building for the development and showcasing of young football talent.

This league, featuring 12 teams from the A-Division, is set to be a pivotal platform for nurturing the next generation of football stars. Notably, only Himalayan Sherpa Club and Friends Club decided against participating in this competition.

One team that is gearing up with significant preparation is FC Khumaltar. In collaboration with Sindhupalchowk FC, which has taken responsibility for the U-18 league team, FC Khumaltar is set to make a strong impact. The recent player selections held at Bhuthkhel, Tokha and the ANFA ground have fortified their squad. Impressively, the club has retained 9 players from their U-16 league squad while incorporating additional talent from open selections, including promising players from Sindhupalchok.

The finalized squad for FC Khumaltar (so far) includes:

Retained from U-16 Squad:

Bibek Shrestha (Goalkeeper), Abishek Lama, Pratik Acharya, David Lama, Jungey Rayamajhi, Sajan Lopchan, Dhiraj Tamang, Alik Shrestha (who captained the U-16 team), and Sagar Tamang.

Former FC Khumaltar assistant coach Mahesh Shrestha, a key figure in the KHUMALTARxSINDHUPALCHOWK collaboration, has been instrumental in building this promising team along with head coach of Khumaltar U-18 Sandeep Khadka. Shrestha remarked, “We plan to add a few more players in the coming days to strengthen the squad. Our primary goal is not just to finish as high as possible, but to help young players grow and provide them with experience and opportunities.”

Adding to the excitement, FC Khumaltar has unveiled a stunning new jersey for this competition, designed in partnership with KLUE, their official kit partner. The kit’s impressive design reflects the club’s vibrant spirit and commitment to excellence.

The home kit features a striking navy blue design, while the away kit is pristine white. The goalkeeper kits come in vibrant green and yellow colors, ensuring the team stands out on the pitch.

FC Khumaltar has gone the extra mile by including player names on the back of their jerseys, a rare gesture even among senior teams in the A-Division league and the Nepal National team. This move aims to motivate young players, instilling pride and a sense of identity as they represent their club.

Supporting their journey, Hajipur Cafe and Restaurant located at Chabahil stands as one of the main sponsors, with Circle Tech serving as their media partner.

Excitement is building as FC Khumaltar prepares to kick off their campaign on the opening day at 4 PM (Second match of the day) with a local derby against Satdobato Youth Club. Fans and supporters are eagerly anticipating an intense and thrilling competition, with hopes high for FC Khumaltar’s success in the league.

The players are not just representing one place but two: Khumaltar and Sindhupalchowk, because of the collaboration, creating a large audience to impress.

FC Khumaltar’s preparation and strategic collaborations set the stage for an exhilarating U-18 league campaign, promising to elevate young talent to new heights.
