Double overhead camshaft, electronic injection with 37 mm diameter throttle body, wet clutch and six speed gearbox with maximum power and torque at 24.5 hp (18 kW) at 9000 rpm and 21 Nm (2.14 kgm) torque at 7500 rpm respectively. The full-LED headlight comes with elegant and modern design. The instrument panel is digital and visible in all conditions. The steel tube trellis frame makes the bike look rigid, compact, and elegant. The braking department has a single 280 mm diameter floating disc with the four-piston caliper on the front and a 240 mm diameter disc with the single-piston floating caliper on the back. The 17″ aluminum alloy rims mount 110/70-R17 and 150/60-R17 tires, respectively keeping you in control. An upside-down fork on the front with 41 mm diameter legs and a swinging arm with central monoshock and travel of 51 mm soaks all bumps and potholes Nepalese roads have to offer.
The bike makes a good buy. It does face stiff competition from the likes of Royal Enfield thunderbird, CBR 300r, and Bajaj Dominar among others many of which possess higher capacity engines and are priced competitively, but there’s no denying the fact that no other budget scrambler can match the sheer Italian heritage of The Benelli Leoncino 250.
