Real could dismiss manager Zidane if they lose against Turkish Galatasaray on Tuesday night in Champions League, according to reports in Spain.
The French boss is facing increasing pressure at the Santiago Bernabeu after a difficult start to the campaign in Europe, with them failing to win either of their opening two games.
While Real have done decently in La Liga, winning five out of their opening nine matches, their Champions League form is a major concern. And according to Spanish newspaper Marca, a defeat in Istanbul on Tuesday night could see Zidane sacked.
They will struggle to get out of their group if they do not manage to get a win in Turkey. Real expected better after a summer in which they splashed out on the likes of Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic, but neither has impressed.
The Spanish giants have not been knocked out in the group stage of the Champions League in 23 years and Zidane knows the presure is on.
He said: ‘It’s always a final, I’ve been here for 18 years, I know where we are and the pressure is always going to be there.’
